A Word from Mayor Chuck
Here’s what’s happening in Crescent!
I’m sure by now everyone knows that the Council Bluffs School Board has voted to close our school after the 22/23 school year end. We are working to figure out our next steps in securing the building for the benefit of Crescent. Moving City Hall, adding a Community Center, adding a water park to the playground, having office space for new businesses are just a few of the amazing ideas we’ve heard from the community. We appreciate community input, so please continue to share with us.
We have received our money from the Board of Supervisors. We hope to startdoing some of the upgrades our town needs by the end of April.
Sadly, our City Clerk will be leaving us at the end of May. If interested in thisposition with our city, please drop off your resume at the city clerk’s office oremail it to ckhildreth55@gmail.com. Some of the skills needed are accounting,quick books, payroll, budgeting, people skills, accounts payable and receivable, organizational skills, task management, and the willingness to learn.
Music in the park starts in June so keep an eye out for dates and times.
Youth ball games have started in town. The kids love having your support, soconsider grabbing the family and go watch a little league game. You never know the next Major Leaguer may come from Crescent.
