Mayor's Corner
A Word from Mayor Chuck
Here’s what’s happening in Crescent!
First off, our hearts go out to all those affected by the recent storm. The tornado left miles of devastation along its path, and we know there are many precious items gone, that can never be replaced, but we are so thankful no lives were lost.
Out of this tragedy, we have seen such community love and support for our neighbors and each other. City Hall is overflowing with donated items and an account has been set up to collect monetary donations at American National Bank. Anyone donating, please write the check to City of Crescent and in thememo put "Crescent Tornado Relief Fund". The bank also has an evening drop box. If donating cash, please use an envelope and write "Relief Fund" on it.
If you have damage from the tornado, please come to City Hall and see what we have available to help you. It’s not the time to think “someone needs this more than I do.” Right now, you need help to get back to some sort of a normal. There may be a time you have to help those who are trying to help you; it all evens out in the end.
Also, if you are in need of something specific, please feel free to call City Hall to see if we have it. If we don’t, we can spread the word and find the item(s) or help needed. 712-545-3981
