Feedback from the Crescent Community Family Fun Day
Community Priorities from 4/7/24 Meeting
The purpose of the meeting was to meet neighbors, inform the community about upcoming events, and set short term community goals.
The meeting was full of chatter and good ideas. The group started with a Speed Networking session in which residents spoke amongst themselves about needs and priorities, switching partners at 3 minute intervals. Priorities were identified, then community members rated the priorities.
The top three priorities as ranked were:
Community Center
Elementary School
Splash Pad & Pool
The following is a complete list of community suggestions and priorities:

Food was prepared and donated by Block 16 with help from Honey Creek Creamery and Loess Hills Forest Products, along with child care.
Hitchcock Nature Center allowed us to use the Gold Finch Room at the Lodge since there was inclement weather.
We are thrilled with the response in that we had over 50 community people from ages 3 weeks to 100 years old!
Join a Committee! Make a difference in your community
Initial committees established were: Welcome Committee, Downtown Beautification Committee, and Youth Sports Committee.
If any one is interested in joining up with one of these committees, contact Sharon Oamek at sharon@honeycreekcreamery.com and she will connect you with the committee chair. Everyone has special talents to contribute so join a group, make new friends, and help Crescent be a great place to live, work, and play.
